This is where I stayed most often while we worked on our house renovation. The hotel is owned by Shelter Social Club, which owns a few hotels in Ojai, Los Alamos, and Solvang. They keep the rooms simple; sometimes the interior design is a little too on the nose with its mid-century-meets-Millennial look, but the feeling of the Capri is just right. It's friendly and laid back. You can borrow a bike. There's free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. There's a small but smart selection of beer, wine, and other drinks that you can pick up in the lobby and take to the pool. My favorite detail is the fireplace in the lobby, which they keep lit during the winter months. Nothing says welcome like a crackling fire when you come in to register for your room.
